Race Car Mechanic

Rhom Innovations, a Winning Motorsports operation located in the PNW, is currently seeking an experienced, highly motivated Race Mechanic. The candidate should be able to meet tight deadlines within a team-oriented environment. The ideal candidate has the ability to install and repair systems and components of the race car. These systems include brakes, drivetrain, suspension, steering, and plumbing. Successful individuals will be able to communicate well and work closely with shop and track peers, as well as the impacted Driver. The position requires strong attention to detail, as well as strong knowledge of race car systems and operations.

Responsibilities include the following:

Follow checklists to ensure all parts are examined.

Assist with technical inspections and processes

Responsible for making suspension and drivetrain changes as needed.

Responsible for installing Drivetrain and related components.

Examine and inspect all key parts, hoses, steering systems, brake and fuel systems, wheel bearings, and other potential high failure areas.

Repair, replace, and adjust brakes.

Disassemble units and inspect parts for wear, using micrometers, calipers, and gauges.

Maintain cleanliness of work area.

Must possess a strong mechanical aptitude, thorough knowledge of race car components and car systems is required

Prior race experience preferred

Strong communication skills and the ability to interact well with others
